JV: I used to think I can just follow and copy others and be on my Reconciliation journey, and now I know that this journey is a personal journey. You carve the path through your own experiences, your reflections, understanding your biases, and your commitment. Once you start your journey, discourse is crucial as the experiences, reflections, questions from others on the same path helps deepens your understanding and commitment.

JV: As I engage in this work, it is important for me to continue to talk about, experience, celebrate and live the Indigenous ways of being. We need to do all four, so we don’t just talk the talk, but actually walk it. It is only then the true Reconciliation will happen.
